Brittle Star  [5 of 28]

English Brittle Star (Ophioderma longicaudum) Español Ofiura
Frequent but not always obvious, Brittle stars spend most of their time under rocks in darkness, and though similar in appearance to starfish can move much more quickly, and are able to regenerate their legs if one gets broken off. The brittle nature of their legs gives them their names.
