Sea Cucumbers (Holothuridae) Pepino de Mar, Pinga de Burro Seegurken
Inactive during the day, grazing slowly at night these are abundant around the island. Some will expel a sticky white filament to get rid of predators. They ingest the sand and then re-expell it once they have digested any invertabrates therein through the same orifice.
