Greater Weeverfish  [12 of 27]

English Greater Weeverfish (trachinus draco) Español Araña Deutsch Petermännchen
Frequent on sandy bottoms and close to beaches, usually lying on the sand but very skittish and easily disturbed. Avoid touching this species as some of the spines contain venom. Although this is the 'greater' weeverfish, the streaked weever is larger but less common.
